CYDC guides over 2,400 youth defenders statewide through legal training, policy advocacy, coalition building, legislation, and strategic litigation. The next Executive Director will lead a small but high-impact team, driving strategic leadership, fundraising, board relations, and movement partnerships at a pivotal moment for youth justice in California. Desired qualifications include: significant senior or executive-level leadership experience; demonstrated fundraising success; professional experience in criminal or youth justice, juvenile defense, or youth defense policy; J.D. preferred; and a deep commitment to racial justice and equity.
